Joseph's Coat

This is about 2 bobbins full. I'm still well short of finishing off my 8 ozs and I'm guessing I've got about 1000 yds after merino "sproing" from washing. I think I'll finish up at about 1500 yds. It's coming out about fingering weight so I'll welcome any ideas or suggestions.

Wow, looks great. You got a finer yarn than I did out of the 8 ounces, I got 2 4-oz hanks of Wild Things that were about 350 yards each, after sproing. You could make one heck of a square shawl, or one of those classy Martin Storey things that was written for Jaeger Matchmaker 4 ply.

Oh my, that is gorgeous! I love it more than mine -prolly cause yours is so evenly spun! LisaK just mentioned the Landscape shawl and that is one of my all time favorites - only takes about 1000 yards, though. Lovely!

I think Landscape would be a great idea, or maybe a one button-type sweater that would make beautiful use of a Sheila Ernst button? :-) Lovely, lovely work!

Oooooohhhh, aaaahhhhhh! Gorgeous stuff! You could just keep it as a decoration... if you knit it you won't have it anymore.
